What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant causing undue damage to the rental unit and seriously impairing the safety of another occupant in the residential complex.
The ruling
The Landlord's application is granted in part. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord's application fee of $186, but the tenancy is not terminated. The Tenant is prohibited from engaging in any demolition, renovation, or construction in the unit without the Landlord's prior written permission. If the Tenant breaches this order, the Landlord may apply to the LTB to terminate the tenancy.
