What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent and utilities, as well as persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant did not appear at the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 19, 2023 unless the Tenant pays $30,586 by that date to void the order. If the Tenant does not pay, they must vacate the unit and pay the Landlord $25,840.97 plus daily compensation. The Tenant must also pay $5,385.95 for unpaid utility bills.
