What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The other Tenants had vacated the rental unit prior to the filing of the Landlord's application.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $35,586 by January 31, 2024 to void the order and continue the tenancy. If the Tenant does not pay, the Tenant must move out by January 31, 2024 and pay the Landlords $31,067.35 plus daily compensation of $75.62 from January 4, 2024 until the Tenant moves out.
