What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed compensation for damage to the rental unit caused by the Tenant or someone the Tenant permitted in the residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $37,875 by July 14, 2024. If the Tenant does not void the order, the Tenant must move out by July 14, 2024 and pay the Landlord $31,973.74 plus daily compensation of $83.01 per day starting June 4, 2024 until the Tenant moves out. The Landlord's claims for damage are withdrawn without prejudice.
