What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation by the Landlords' daughter.
The ruling
The Landlords have proven on a balance of probabilities the grounds for termination of the tenancy and the claim for compensation. The tenancy between the Landlords and the Tenant will terminate, with the Tenant required to vacate the unit by April 30, 2025. The Tenant shall pay the Landlords $4,404.36 in compensation for use of the unit from September 1, 2024 to November 7, 2024.
