What happened

The Landlords applied for termination of the tenancy and eviction because the Tenants failed to pay rent. The Tenants fell into arrears due to a reduction in work hours for one of the tenants in early 2025. Since the application was filed, the Tenants made significant payments and proposed a repayment plan to clear the remaining balance.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay $8,646.00 in arrears and costs according to a monthly payment schedule extending from October 2025 to January 2027. Eviction is stayed provided the Tenants make all scheduled payments and pay ongoing rent in full and on time. If the Tenants miss any payment, the Landlord may apply for an immediate eviction order without notice under Section 78.
