What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Unauthorized Occupant because the Tenants transferred occupancy of the rental unit to the Unauthorized Occupant without the Landlords' consent. The Landlords also applied for compensation by the Unauthorized Occupant for the use of the rental unit.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlords and the Tenants is terminated. The Unauthorized Occupant must move out by July 26, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by then, the Landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Unauthorized Occupant must pay the Landlords $73.15 per day for compensation for use of the unit from June 4, 2024 to the move-out date, and $201 for the application filing cost.
