What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The ruling
The tenancy will be terminated on May 31, 2023 unless the Tenant pays $3,456.83 to void the eviction order and continue the tenancy, or $2,835.47 if the tenancy is terminated. The Tenant must also pay daily compensation of $12.72 per day starting April 13, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. If the unit is not vacated by May 31, 2023, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
