What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated on October 7, 2023 unless the tenants pay $5,136 by September 19, 2023 or $7,086 by October 7, 2023 to void the order. If the tenants do not pay, they must vacate the unit by October 7, 2023 and pay the landlord $5,085.75 plus daily compensation of $64.11 starting October 8, 2023.
