What happened
The Landlord applied for termination of the tenancy and eviction of the Tenant due to substantial rent arrears. The Tenant acknowledged the inability to pay the full arrears and requested a delay in eviction to secure funds for moving. The Landlord agreed to a brief extension of the eviction date into the new year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 5, 2026, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $7,786.00 by December 31, 2025, or $9,686.00 by January 5, 2026. If the Tenant fails to pay and move out, the Landlord is authorized to enforce eviction starting January 6, 2026. The Tenant is ordered to pay $4,003.85 plus daily compensation of $62.47 until they vacate.
