What happened

The Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy because the Tenant failed to meet rent payment conditions set in a previous LTB order. An ex-parte order was issued, which the Tenant moved to set aside, citing family emergencies including her son's hospitalization and a relative's death in Jamaica.

The ruling

The Tenant's motion to set aside the eviction order was denied. The stay of the previous eviction order is lifted effective October 26, 2025, providing the Tenant roughly one month to vacate. The Landlords are entitled to the arrears as previously ordered.
