What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to their failure to pay utility bills as required by the tenancy agreement. The landlord claimed the tenants' non-payment of utility bills has substantially interfered with the landlord's lawful right.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the water charges in accordance with the terms of their tenancy agreement for a period of one year from the date of this order. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,470.17 for the unpaid water costs by December 17, 2023. If the Tenant breaches the order, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application.
