What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the LTB on May 25, 2023 with respect to application LTB-L-016888-23. The Tenant failed to pay the lawful rent on or before June 1, 2023 and failed to pay $796.00 towards rent arrears on or before May 31, 2023.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 9, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $7,599.76 (less any payments made after June 7, 2023) for rent arrears and the cost of the previous application. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $26.17 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting June 29, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
