What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant claimed she was overcharged and her rent was not adjusted for her unemployment, but the Landlord representative stated that was outside the Board's jurisdiction.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $13,378 by September 30, 2023 or $14,150 by October 31, 2023 to void the order. If the Tenant does not pay, they must vacate by October 31, 2023 and owe $12,885.18 plus daily compensation.
