What happened

The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant and his guest committing illegal acts in the residential complex, including assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, and discharging bear mace, which substantially interfered with and seriously impaired the safety of other tenants and the Landlord's staff.

The ruling

The Landlord's application is granted. The tenancy is terminated effective March 12, 2024. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $997.90 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damage and $186.00 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 12, 2024, they will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance starting March 13, 2024.
