What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The parties consented to combine the two applications and resolved all matters at issue.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $16,082.20 to void the order by December 31, 2023. If the Tenants do not pay, they must move out by December 31, 2023 and pay compensation of $78.19 per day starting January 14, 2024 until they move out. If the Tenants void the order, the tenancy will continue on the condition that they pay rent on time starting January 15, 2024.
