What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant for non-payment of rent. During the hearing, the Landlord and Tenant reached a consent agreement to resolve the matter, allowing the Tenant an opportunity to void the eviction by paying the arrears by a set deadline.
The ruling
The LTB issued a consent order terminating the tenancy effective September 30, 2025, unless the Tenant voids the eviction by paying $4,618.98 by that date. If the Tenant fails to pay, they must move out, and the Landlord is awarded $1,315.84 plus daily compensation of $60.45. Interest at 4% per annum will apply to any unpaid balance starting October 1, 2025.
