What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated unless the tenants pay $4,788.60 by April 30, 2023 or $6,898.62 by May 19, 2023 to void the order. If the tenants do not pay, they must move out by May 19, 2023 and pay the landlord $2,216.98 plus daily compensation of $69.37 starting April 25, 2023.
