What happened
The Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB order. The Tenant did not meet the condition specified in the previous order to pay the rent for May 2023 by the due date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective June 6, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlords $5,787.31, which includes the remaining rent arrears from the previous order and the new arrears for May 2023, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay the Landlords $57.12 per day for use of the unit starting May 27, 2023 until the Tenant vacates.
