What happened

The Landlord filed an application to evict the Tenants for committing an illegal act and seriously impairing the safety of another person in the residential complex. The application was based on an incident on December 15, 2024, where a Tenant and their guests, who appeared intoxicated, entered another tenant's unit and assaulted the occupant. The Tenants did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 31, 2025. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by this date. They are also ordered to pay the Landlord $186.00 for the application filing fee. The eviction was delayed to allow the Tenants time to find new housing.
