What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants for non-payment of rent. The Tenants had already vacated the rental unit on March 20, 2025, prior to the hearing. The Tenants did not attend the hearing. The Board issued a monetary order for the rent arrears owed by the Tenants.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of March 20, 2025, the date the Tenants vacated. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $540.68. This amount includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the application fee, less payments made by the Tenants, the rent deposit, and interest on the deposit.
