What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served valid N4 and N8 notices, but the Tenants did not void the notices or attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 2, 2024. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $12,022.72, which includes rent arrears from June 1, 2023 to the hearing date and the application filing fee. If the Tenants do not vacate by February 2, 2024, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
