What happened
The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to rent arrears. The Tenant disputed the amount, claiming her son made payments not reflected in the Landlord's ledger, and requested a long-term payment plan of $50 per month. The adjudicator found the Tenant's evidence of extra payments insufficient and deemed the proposed payment plan unrealistic given the Tenant's monthly financial deficit.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $2,417.81 by December 31, 2025, or $3,572.81 by January 15, 2026, to void the order. If the Tenant does not void the order, she must vacate by January 15, 2026, and pay the Landlord $829.24 plus daily compensation of $37.97 from November 20, 2025.
