What happened
The Landlord filed an application to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to significant rent arrears. The Tenant acknowledged the debt but explained that the situation arose because a roommate moved out and the Tenant lost their job. Although the Tenant is now employed and proposed a payment plan, the Landlord sought a standard order for eviction.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays the full amount required to void the order. The Tenant must pay $10,041.39 by November 30, 2025, or higher amounts by subsequent dates to void the eviction. If not voided, the Tenant must vacate by January 15, 2026, and pay the Landlord $8,018.52 plus daily compensation of $45.71 from November 18, 2025.
