What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord's child.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 29, 2023. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before August 29, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Tenants owe the Landlord $616.31 as of June 15, 2023, and will owe additional compensation of $40.11 per day starting June 16, 2023 until the date they move out. If the full amount is not paid by August 29, 2023, the Tenants will start to owe interest at 6.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
