What happened
The Landlord initially applied to terminate the tenancy for non-payment of rent. After a series of review orders, including one where the Landlord's application was dismissed as abandoned because their representative missed a hearing due to a family emergency, the parties reached a consent agreement. The Tenants paid all arrears and the filing fee, leading to the discontinuation of the eviction application.
The ruling
The request to review the order issued on June 2, 2025, is granted. That order is cancelled. Because the Tenants have paid all rent arrears and the filing fee, the Landlord's application to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants is discontinued by consent.
