What happened
The Landlords applied for eviction due to non-payment of rent. A previous order was issued in the Landlords' favor, but the Tenant requested a review, claiming she missed the original hearing because she confused it with another LTB matter. The Board granted the review, cancelled the previous order, and held a new hearing. At the new hearing, it was determined the Tenant owed significant arrears.
The ruling
The LTB cancelled the original eviction order but issued a new one. The tenancy will terminate on November 30, 2025, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $14,286.00 by October 31 or $16,636.00 by November 30. If the Tenant does not pay and does not move out, she must pay the Landlord $10,560.92 plus daily compensation of $77.26.
