What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant or someone permitted in the residential complex by the Tenant substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant, and seriously impairing the safety of any person in the residential complex. The Landlord alleged the Tenant threw objects off the balcony and tampered with the fire alarm system.

The ruling

The Landlord proved the grounds for termination of the tenancy and the claim for compensation. The tenancy is terminated effective February 17, 2025. The Tenant owes the Landlord $79.96 for damages and daily compensation of $47.67 per day starting February 18, 2025 until the Tenant vacates the unit. Relief from eviction is not granted.
