What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The parties reached an agreement to resolve the issues during mediation.
The ruling
The parties agreed to resolve all the issues in the application. The Tenancy is terminated on July 31, 2024, and the Tenants must move out by that date. If the unit is not vacated by July 31, 2024, the Landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement starting August 1, 2024. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlords compensation of $57.53 per day for the use of the unit starting August 1, 2024, until the date the Tenants move out.
