What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant raised various issues that could be the subject of a Tenant application.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 31, 2024. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $919.85 by October 31, 2024, which includes rent arrears, application fees, and NSF charges, minus the last month's rent deposit, interest on the deposit, and rent abatement. If the Tenant does not pay by November 11, 2024, interest will accrue. If the unit is not vacated by October 31, 2024, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
