What happened

The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants for non-payment of rent. An initial order was issued in March 2025, which the Tenants requested a review of. The Landlord consented to the review, and the case was heard de novo. The adjudicator determined that substantial rent arrears were owed and ordered the tenancy terminated unless the Tenants paid the outstanding amounts by specific deadlines.

The ruling

The request to review order LTB-L-093452-24 is granted and the original order is cancelled. The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $7,380.00 by July 31, 2025, or $8,214.00 by August 7, 2025. If the Tenants do not void the order by paying, they must move out by August 7, 2025, and pay the Landlord $5,289.30 plus daily compensation of $27.42 starting May 16, 2025.
