What happened

The Landlord sought termination of tenancy and compensation for unpaid utility costs and rent arrears. Since the tenancy was already terminated by a previous order and rent arrears were addressed therein, this application focused on whether the guarantor should be named as a tenant and the collection of unpaid utilities. The Tenant alleged the Landlord intentionally shut off power, which the Board found unsubstantiated.

The Tenant was ordered to pay the Landlord $3,456.88 for unpaid utilities and the application filing fee by November 23, 2025.
