What happened

The landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment of the landlord and other residents, willful and/or negligent damage to the property, and the tenant committing illegal acts within the residential complex.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 14, 2023. The tenant must pay the landlord $734.50 for the cost of repairing the damaged property and $186 for the application filing fee. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by October 14, 2023, they will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
