What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by 2024-04-08. If the unit is not vacated by then, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $2,674.52 in compensation for use of the unit from 2023-09-01 to 2024-02-13, plus $19.73 per day from 2024-02-14 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by 2024-04-08, they will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
