What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The tenants did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order by paying $5,528.60 by November 19, 2022. If the Tenants do not void the order, they must move out by November 19, 2022, and pay the Landlord $2,952.65 plus $39.09 per day from October 26, 2022, until they move out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting November 20, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
