What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 14, 2024. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by this date. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $12,587.57 in compensation for use and occupation of the unit from April 15, 2023 to October 3, 2023, with any rent payments made since April 15, 2023 subtracted from this amount. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $73.18 per day for use of the unit from October 4, 2023 until the date they move out.
