What happened

The Landlord applied for an order requiring the Tenant to pay rent arrears. The Tenant was in possession of the unit when the application was filed but vacated on August 20, 2025. The Tenant did not attend the hearing despite being properly served. The Board determined the Tenant owed rent from May 2025 until the move-out date.

The ruling

The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $6,255.50 for rent arrears and the application fee. Payment is due by November 8, 2025. If payment is not made by the deadline, simple interest of 4.00% will accrue on the balance starting November 9, 2025.
