What happened
The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict an unauthorized occupant after the original Tenant transferred occupancy without the Landlord's consent. The unauthorized occupant refused to complete the necessary paperwork to be added to the lease and was argumentative. The original Tenant and the unauthorized occupant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the original Tenant is terminated. The Unauthorized Occupant is ordered to move out by June 8, 2025. If they fail to vacate, the Landlord can enforce eviction via the Sheriff. The Unauthorized Occupant must pay the Landlord $201.00 for the application fee, plus daily compensation of $50.96 from June 1, 2025, until they move out.
