What happened
The Landlord, a corporation, applied to evict the Tenants for non-payment of rent. At the hearing, which all parties attended, a consent agreement was reached. The resulting order allows the Tenants to void the eviction by paying the outstanding arrears according to a set schedule. Failure to meet the payment conditions will result in the termination of the tenancy.
The ruling
Based on a consent agreement, the tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order. To void, the Tenants must pay either $8,911.18 by June 30, 2025, or $10,644.71 by July 31, 2025. If they fail to pay, the tenancy terminates on July 31, 2025, they must vacate, and they will owe the Landlord $6,037.69 plus $56.99 in daily compensation from June 12, 2025, until they move out.
