What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $4,320.50 to void the order by May 31, 2023. If the Tenant does not pay, the tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must pay $1,188.83 to the Landlord. The Tenant must also pay daily compensation of $47.54 for each day of occupation starting April 27, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
