What happened
The Tenant applied for an order determining that the Landlord substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex, harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with the Tenant, and failed to meet the Landlord's maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006.
The ruling
The Landlord must pay the Tenant $2,812.71 by September 30, 2024 for failing to address marijuana smoke issues and failing to promptly repair the fridge. The Landlord must also pay a $2,500 administrative fine to the LTB.
