What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant admitted to the arrears but proposed a payment plan, claiming his partner stole his money. The Landlords opposed the plan due to a history of non-payment. The LTB Member found the Tenant's payment plan unsustainable and ordered termination of the tenancy.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 30, 2025, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified arrears and costs. If the Tenant does not void the order, he must vacate by November 30, 2025, and pay the Landlords $5,178.56 plus daily compensation of $42.08 from August 22, 2025, until he vacates.
