What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another Tenants, and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed compensation for unpaid utility costs.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of May 31, 2024. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $2,486.34 for unpaid utility costs and $186 for the application filing fee by February 28, 2025. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by the due date, they will owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
