What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the landlord or another tenant. The landlord alleged that there was a large amount of garbage and clutter in the tenant's unit.

The ruling

The tenancy will continue if the tenant brings the unit to an ordinary standard of cleanliness by June 15, 2023 and maintains it for 6 months. If the tenant fails to comply, the landlord may apply to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant without further notice.
