What happened

The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to significant rent arrears exceeding $40,000. The ruling

If the Tenants do not void the order, they are ordered to pay the Landlord $35,000.00, representing the maximum monetary jurisdiction of the LTB, which accounts for arrears and the filing fee minus the rent deposit and interest. The Tenants must also pay daily compensation of $126.58 from July 9, 2025, until they vacate.
