What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and the Landlords' good faith requirement of the rental unit for their own residential occupation for at least one year. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $26,536 by September 30, 2024 or $28,986 by October 6, 2024. If the Tenant does not void the order, the Tenant must pay $23,810.85 to the Landlords and vacate the unit by October 6, 2024. The Landlords are granted possession of the unit for their own residential occupation.
