What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord, Amit Khanna. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation by Amit Khanna for at least one year. The tenancy will be terminated, but the eviction will be postponed until October 31, 2024 to allow the Tenants time to find alternative housing. The Tenants must pay compensation to the Landlords for use and occupation of the unit.
