What happened
The Landlord, a corporation, filed an application to evict the Tenant for non-payment of rent. By the hearing date, the rent arrears had accumulated significantly. During the videoconference hearing, which both parties attended, a consent agreement was reached, giving the Tenant an opportunity to pay the arrears by a specific deadline to avoid eviction.
The ruling
The tenancy is conditionally terminated. Based on a consent agreement, the Tenant can void the eviction by paying $9,476.00 by April 30, 2025, or $11,341.00 by May 31, 2025. If the Tenant fails to pay, they must vacate by May 31, 2025, and owe the Landlord $5,777.10 plus daily compensation of $61.32 from April 2, 2025.
