What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $10,072.23 by September 24, 2024 to void the order. If the Tenant does not void the order, the Tenant must pay $7,020.42 to the Landlord and vacate the unit by September 24, 2024. The Tenant will owe daily compensation of $54.39 for any holdover period.
