What happened

The Landlord applied for eviction and rent arrears following the Tenant's failure to pay rent. The Tenant disputed the amount and requested relief from eviction citing personal disabilities and the need for more time to find housing. The Board found the Tenant failed to provide evidence of alleged payments or new employment and refused a payment plan due to inconsistent testimony.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 31, 2025, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the full arrears and costs. If the Tenant does not void, they must move out by July 31, 2025, and pay the Landlord $5,521.02, plus daily compensation of $55.54 until they vacate. Eviction was postponed to provide the Tenant additional time to secure housing due to disability.
